Waterlilyz are ordinary women who want nothing more than to know the extraordinary power of the Risen-Lord in their daily lives.  The Waterlilyz for Jesus is an ACTION orientated ministry that met for the first time as a “fellowship of nine” on February 2, 2010 at the Mountain View Diner in Frederick Maryland.

Why we call ourselves Waterlilyz–Like waterlilies, we are made to bring beauty to this world but our true beauty and purpose is revealed only when we are immersed in water– the source of life. Because of this truth, the Waterlilyz are committed to gathering together to study the Word of the Lord. Through our weekly Lilypadz, we learn about the Living Water (Jeremiah 17:13, John 4:10, Revelation 7:17) and encourage each other to drink deeply of it. If you feel confused, tired, weak, overly emotional, chaotic, run down, or fatigued– those are symptoms of dehydration. Join a Lilypad and find out what we are talking about–come get a drink!

Our Roots–Waterlilzy Core Values

Our Motto– The Waterlilyz Motto is ”Planting Seeds of Unconditional Love”. This motto was inspired by 1 Corinthians 3:6-9, which teaches: “I planted the seed in your hearts, and [another] watered it, but it was God who made it grow. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow.  The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.  For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.”  Lilyz want a part of the God-action and want to be used as a tool for the Kingdom. We do realize that our service and love sometimes (and maybe often) does not bloom into a God-story before our eyes.
So, with the prayerful hope, but no requirement of a harvest, Waterlilyz plant seeds of unconditonal love. Some plant, some water, but God will make his beautiful garden grow in His time. Amen to Holy Flower Power!
Our Battle Cry–Your story is better than any myth or legend. Why? Because your story is real and your role in this journey has eternal consequences. We are on a journey to save this world. In The Lord of the Rings, Frodo– the unlikeliest of creatures– steps up to save the world. When he does, a fellowship (of 9) is formed. It is formed when those with different skills and tools stand up and come together and offer themselves completely to each other and to The Cause. They say “If by my life or death I can serve you, I will”; “You have my sword”; “You have my axe”; “And you have my bow”. As a Waterlily, you have the service, sword, axe, and bow of your sister lilyz. The Waterlilyz Battle Cry, which can be heard heard every 3rd Saturday at a Voluntary Worship project, or in response to a prayer request, or just as an encouragment from one lily to another is: “You have my sword.”

The vision of the Waterlilyz came from a desire to be on the front lines for Christ while transcending denominational divides and cultural expectations. It is the desire of Waterlilyz that through deliberate commitment to God, a personal relationship with Jesus, and love and accountability to each other, marriages, families, communities and future generations will forever be changed (Acts 1:8). We eagerly welcome women of all walks of life and in all stages of their faith walk at our Lilypadz.

Waterlilyz are committed to captivating this world again with the beauty of real woman, wives, mothers, sisters, friends and servants. Come join other Lilyz and drink deeply from the Water of Life.
